Ceva joins the International Egg Foundation Partnership Programme

Ceva Animal Health is honoured to announce its membership in the International Egg Foundation (IEF) Partnership Programme, marking an important step in our commitment to support farmers, improve animal health, and contribute to healthier communities across the world.

As a global leader in animal health, Ceva shares IEF’s commitment to promoting good farming practices, advancing animal welfare, and harnessing the nutritional and socioeconomic value of eggs in regions where undernutrition remains a critical challenge.

Through this partnership, Ceva is providing key technical expertise to programmes supported by the IEF, including:

Both initiatives help young people and families develop sustainable small-scale poultry production by improving flock management, boosting productivity, and strengthening long-term resilience.

During a recent visit to Project Mercy, Ceva teams saw the profound effect that access to eggs can have on children and communities. In collaboration with OneEgg, the on-site poultry farm produces thousands of eggs each week, ensuring that schoolchildren receive a reliable source of high-quality protein and essential nutrients.
This simple yet powerful intervention shows how one egg a day can significantly support education, health, and local development.

This partnership also aligns with the long-standing initiatives Ceva has been leading to strengthen family poultry farming and improve community resilience. Our PREVENT project, which focus on supporting biosafety and building the technical skills of small-scale farmers, as well as Poulet du Faso in Burkina Faso, which aims to secure and professionalize poultry production within family farms, illustrate our deep commitment to sustainable small-scale poultry production.

According to Pierre-Marie Borne, IEF board member, Senior Public Affairs at Ceva and Director of Ceva Wildlife Research Fund:

“Our partnership with the IEF strengthens Ceva’s mission by ensuring farmers have the technical support they need to succeed—improving flock health, boosting productivity, and enabling them to bring eggs into undernourished regions and communities. Together, we are helping secure sustainable access to one of the world’s most essential foods, reinforcing the link between healthy animals, resilient farmers, and healthier people.”

Ceva’s involvement with the IEF builds on the success of our long-standing community nutrition and education initiatives, including:

  • C Our Future (in Asia) : Launched in Asia under Ceva’s regional CSR initiative, C Our Future is designed to improve the nutritional status of children through greater consumption of eggs and poultry, and to raise awareness of the benefits of chicken & eggs in fighting child stunting.
  • One Egg a Day (in South America) : The One Egg a Day project starts from the simple but powerful insight that one high-quality egg per day can deliver essential nutrients and improve growth, especially in young children.

These programmes demonstrate our commitment to supporting global food security and community wellbeing through science-backed, sustainable solutions.
